Following the Growth of the Carp in Harry's Lake

The photos we’ve taken showcase carp from three key spawning events:

  • September 2024

  • April 2025

  • End of May 2025

With each new batch, the difference in growth rate is easy to see. From fry to juveniles, the development over these months has been impressive. Some of the May fish are already catching up in size to the earlier spawns thanks to the warmer water and ideal feeding conditions.

Looking Ahead to November

This coming November, we’ll be netting the carp and grading them. This is when we separate out:

  • The most stunning-looking fish

  • The fastest growers

These standout individuals will remain in Harry’s Lake to grow on. The rest will be sold to our trusted local fish farmer, where they’ll continue to thrive in new waters.

Building a Lake Full of Stunners

We’re incredibly excited about what’s developing here. With such strong early growth and striking scale patterns already showing, we’re confident that some of these fish are future 20lb+ specimens in the making.

This is just the beginning—watch this space as we continue to grow and shape something truly special at Harry’s Lake.

The first four photos are from the end of May spawning 2025.

The second four photos are from April spawning 2025.

The last two photos are from September spawning 2024.
