Driven by a lifelong passion for carp fishing, I dreamed of one day creating my own fishery, a place where anglers could escape, relax, and chase truly special carp. That dream is now a reality, and we're proud to invite you to experience this exceptional lake for yourself.

As a lifelong carp angler, it was always my dream to create a fishery that reflects the true spirit of the sport – and that dream is now reality.

Compton’s Lake is the result: our beautiful 3-acre carp lake, nestled within 20 acres of peaceful, private French countryside near Chalus in the stunning Limousin region.

Now, it’s your turn to experience what makes this place so special.

The Lake: Exclusive, Pristine, and Full of Potential

Compton’s Lake is home to approximately 80 hand-selected carp, including specimens already tipping the scales at over 50lb, and they’re still growing. The lake was restocked in December 2022 with healthy, fast-growing carp – and they’re thriving. In 2023 and 2024, anglers reported average catches of 15–20 carp per week, with some weeks exceeding 25!

Because we're committed to carp welfare and natural growth, the lake is only open for bookings 10 weeks a year – during May, June, September, and October, with a full week’s rest between sessions. The result? Hard-fighting, rarely caught carp in outstanding condition.

Exclusive Fishing, Flexible Stays

• Depths range from 2ft to 14ft, with an average of 6–10ft for varied, exciting fishing

• Other species include tench, roach, rudd, and perch to maintain a healthy ecosystem

Following recent flight changes between UK airports and Limoges, you can now choose to start your trip on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday for 7, 8, or 9 nights – subject to availability.
